【Experience】
Ting Tseng Shen Born in Chiayi, Taiwan in 1980, Ting-Tseng Shen graduated from the Department of
Architecture at National Cheng Kung University in 2002. In 2007, he received his master's degree from the
Graduate Institute of Building and Planning at National Taiwan University. In 2014, he founded Shen Ting-
Tseng Architects in Taipei, Taiwan.
Shen Ting-Tseng and his team focus on how buildings can exist affirmatively and vibrantly. They explore
various architectural themes and types throughout Taiwan, seeking subtle clues to sustain the existence of
things within complex, dynamic, and contradictory environments. Using these clues as pivotal points, they
dynamically develop and shape architectural ideas, guiding subjects to meet at the boundaries of architecture.
While retaining the charisma of everyday, opening up possibilities for contemporary life, and gradually
bringing spaces and objects towards neutrality, abstract emotions, and open boundaries. Their works have
won awards such as the AR Emerging Architecture Awards in UK and the Taiwan Architecture Award.
