簡介Maria Lezhnina 出生於俄羅斯，現居台灣。她的經歷橫跨瑞士的景觀研究計劃，以及在義大利國家博物館發表二十一世紀新興能源對藝術的衝擊。她同時投入建築教學與空間知識的推廣，曾在芬蘭 ARKKI 兒童建築學校任教，並在莫斯科（俄羅斯）、門德里西奧（瑞士）、熱那亞與米蘭（義大利）、巴庫（亞塞拜然）和台北從事設計實踐。
她關注大氣、氣體與液體等各層面所組成的美學經驗，不僅是建築師，也是視覺藝術家，擅長攝影與視覺設計。跨學科的背景與對不同文化的接觸帶給她創作上的靈感，作品長期關注氣候與景觀。她對台灣腹地不大卻蘊藏豐富地景感到驚艷，並發展出一系列作品，色調別緻淡雅，呈現如繪畫般的空間感。曾旅居日本、義大利、瑞士與中國，代表作《Untitled Climates》探討新的景觀攝影方法，著重闡述氣候如何定義風景。
